I played it for like.. 3 hours .. total. I beat it. Kind of disappointed , but I'm not going to lie. I was hooked. Liked it so far. Can't wait for the real thing, but I honestly can't see myself investing hours into it like I used to. Sigh..

From what the devs are spouting, Normal is a cakewalk, everything after gets exponentially harder.

I'll be purchasing it when I get back from Houston this weekend. I don't think I'm going to have time for it though. :/

Hopefully I can play a few hours here and there. Hopefully....

I finally gave in and bought the f'er. Fun as hell to play. I'm a Barb lvl 31 now. Still haven't beat the game, but close to it. Just trying to play it as much as I can with life getting in the way. If it were 10 years ago, I would have beaten it already :)

Anyway.. I hate D3's server is always going down. pissing me off. At the most inappropriate times, too. F'rs.

Anyway, I'll give y'all my battle tag when I find out what it is.. lol

Cheers.

Oh, and if anyone has any lvl 40+ hammers, or swords they can give a barb, let me know. :)

LOL, no single-player for j00! Takes much more than 3,000 signatures for a petition like that to have an impact. No to mention I see threads in the D3 forums, about single-player, that have been deleted etc. As a measure to keep the game from being hackable, I doubt you'll ever see a SP mode, though stranger things have happened.

I'm sure someone will make a hack allowing SP offline mode.

The problem with that is there is no 'single player', per se, everything is tied to 'online'. So the best you can get is an emulator (I did find some information/videos from one that was working with a beta build of D3, but I don't know its current progress), much like the WoW private servers, even if you get an emulator that works 100%, you still have to edit/code large amounts of files to program the server, mobs (actions/encounters), etc, as these aren't usually things that "hackers" get/distribute. Pretty much decided to hold out on getting anything except maybe GW2.

Isn't Guild Wars 2 online only as well?

Pretty sure it will be, but that wasn't an issue that was a problem for me. I was only clarifying [my opinion mixed with the fact] that there is no function in D3 for single player, so you can't hack it to allow SP, only emulate online/MP. I played enough D2:LoD that I doubt I'll ever buy D3, maybe if it goes down to $5-10 at some point, though still not likely to buy it, realistically.
