Clerks 2

Postby Dylan » Jul 23rd, 2006 at 6:02 am

Ive been a fan of Kevin Smith for a while and I even somewhat enjoyed Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back but this movie blows all his other movies out of the water. I cant remember the last time I laughed so much in a movie theatre. Everyone I saw it with said the same thing. Downright crude dirty humor thats full of great characters. If you're looking for a movie to see and your not too uptight check it out.

Of all his movies I really only liked Clerks. Will be seeing Clerks 2 when I have time.

ben, i think i would die if i ever read a post by you that wasn't a snarky, contemptuous, and arrogant criticism.

seriously what is this need you have to criticise every damn thing you see? i can understand dylan's attitude with hating everything, but you seem to go out of your way to find shit to complain about.

seriously man, just... be happy.

How is he over-rated when no-one else "does what he does".

He's in a category by himself imo.

Hey at least you guys got the joke. I ran that past a friend of mine and he stared at me like I was speaking another language. :P
I don't hate Kevin Smith, I just don't find his films to have much of a lasting quality. They are good the first time. But after that, they fail to entertain me.

I know what you mean mallrats doesnt hold up anymore and comedy central killed dogma by showing it twice a week. But clerks is still a very creative film and chasing amy continues to entertain me.

That being said I think clerks2 is one of the funniest films Ive seen in quite a long time. Everyone in the theatre was laughing throughout the movie. And like Gameover said I'm not a big fan of a lot of Hollywood movies lately.

I thought the movie was pretty slow with some okay jokes, but the birthday present scene, the scene after, and the racist joke scene were hilarious. P M 4 LIFE.
