Tie beween Wake and Kubra Dam. I do love the F-18 and those 2 maps are great for flying on both.

I would say my favorite is either Daqing Oilfields or Gulf of Oman. I used to hate Karkand, but I think it is growing on me.

Blasphemy! Karkand is the truest show of individual skill. A single player can own that whole map if he "gots thuh game". I love to get in the zone on there and jump from roof to roof changing kits with those I kill while screaming obscenties in a foreign language like pig latin.

thanks to Jayphat for mentioning KUBRA DAM. I hunted one down and went in cold turkey. Had no choice but attach to the squad leader and follow him like some sick dog. That map is fantastic, will have to get back there and check it out proper.

The other "new" one for me, is the Fushe Pass, lots of space to fly around; and you actualy have a ground to air weapon that is effective.

Yep I hunt for the ramps now, similar to flying under bridges to keep from getting bored.

Flying under bridges FTW. Was a little easier in DC. Besides, these F-35s are pieces of shit. I would totally prefer a Raptor.

Heh, there have been some big debates on a couple different BF2 forums about why they included the Joint Strike Fighter over the Raptor.

OK, so we can include the brand new in development F-35 but we can't but the Apache, let alone the Commanche in the game? WTF?

BALANCE EA BALANCE.

And bring back my drivable naval vessles. And destroyers. And battleships.

To get back on topic, my favorite map is probably Sharqi Peninsula.

Suck: I was hoping you would vouch for Fushe Pass; what with all the flying in there, and tight team work required. I am getting hooked on it.

Only problem is no server is like HF. Always feel like a "stranger in town" elsewhere and of course diff rules everywhere.

FuShe pass is either my second or third least favorite map. I fucking hate it. The only reason I stayed there was because I need to get better at it, especially at commanding on it. FuShe 64 is a hard fucking map to command on, especially with a team that doesn't follow orders & doesn't fucking understand the concept of "move out of the two bases you're guarding and take some of theirs." People just don't understand how different maps work as far as ticket loss...

I want an all aerial map. That would be sweet as shit custom map. Nothing but large, long spaces with canyons and shit to fly down in.

/droll

If it exsisted, that would be my favorite map.

BF:DC had an all flying map - DC No Fly Zone

It had 2 uncap bases with 7-8 planes, helo and a jeep or two. The three cap points were actually 1000 feet in the air - so you had to fly in tight circle with a jet, or fly up and stall, then fall. The time to cap was only like 8-10 seconds, but it was freaking hard to stall and drop without crashing b4 cap. Helos got destroyed pretty fast. Lots of canyons, bridges, hangers, anti-aircraft at bases. Fun map - somebody needs to redo it for BF2!

The BF2 map pack already has a map like that. You should check it out. There is only one or two maps that could be used for regular play, but the other maps are still fun (kinda like Iceworld for CS:S)

it would definately help my flying skills out, since I'm hardly decent at it.

I can vouch for that.

"WTF Jay? How do you keep getting behind me and killing me?"
