I think this is a good move - lots of money being spent by very few people for the enjoyment of masses who didn't seem to fully appreciate what was being done for them. HF has survived in the past with no public server at all, and we will weather this change as well. I am sad about BF2, but then again the servers were either empty or full, and 99% of the time I never even got to play on it.

Hey man, if something isn't making you happy then noone can really get pissed if you don't do it...especially if it is out of your own pocket. Thanks though for what you've done to this point. HF will go on since it's about the community and not whichever game is the fotm. Happy christmas, chanakuh, kwanza, and secular holiday.

I'm not even going to pretend I know the details about K2's decision, but I will say this: stress is usually not connected to the thing that stresses us the most. Just something to think about.

And as long as there is a CS server, I will be around. So if your goal was to get rid of asshats like me, you've failed.

Never actually said it before, but thatnks for all the work you put in here. As far as I can see, this change will work fine, my pings are almost as good to your new CS server as to the old, and Even on the few ocasions I could connect to the populated BF2 server there were no regs on.

Good luck with whatever your going to play now, If you ever want to get owned at Civ 4, just post.

I have felt nearly the same way lately. I am getting sick of the same old shit. Got an xbox for xmas so maybe I can get into that for a bit. I just dont like playing anymore. I dont blame ya Keith. I hope that you at least stay in touch if you come into Dallas. Would love to go out drinkin again. This time, I wont miss the titty bar Obviously, I dont plan on going anywhere, and I will definitely be at HF 7.

I'm kinda in the same place in my life. I realy need to do other things, but I keep coming back to gaming. Some time in the next year or two I'll prob sign off gaming for good. I'm 33 and spend most of my evenings gaming, weekends with my kids, and the rest of the time working. There is more to life, so I'm weening myself off of gaming by not upgradeing... then I"ll prob come into some money and upgrade and feel like a moron again

I responded to your Main News with the below message in a new post, then when I read on and saw responses under this post thought I would move it to here so they are all together.

As I said:

K2 I for one just want to express how much fun I have had on your servers. The community you set up drew me in, I agree, CS:S was the height, IMO. I do not think I had so many laughs doing anything as I did playing CS. And to be honest, it was not even the playing it was listening to the VOIP of the reg players; a great bunch of guys (plus girls).

I will always hold HF as reverent; but to shorten it up, Thanks.

Will keep in touch, and good luck in what ever you do.
