Fuckin' A right... look at this shit - http://www.wdraptorx.com/

The new 150GB 10k rpm SATA-II Raptor that Western Digital is releasing soon is going to be see through. Hah ;) Aside from a case modders viewpoint, I think it's pretty cool just because if something goes wrong, you may be able to visually identify potential issues. And seeing the read/write head do its thing would be pretty cool too ;)

This is definitely on my 'to get' list.

Going to mount it on its side on the window in your case so you can see it?

One of my thoughts on it is that you have to re-organize your case in such a way that you can actually see that it has a window on its top. Not only that but does it have LEDS inside?

Combined with THIS I think this would be an absolutely sweet investment.
For those of us without clear cases specifically designed to show one of these bad boys off, i would recommend THIS instead.

Heh, you might have to run a hose from your house AC to the computer tho. I heard those poly cases don't cool very well. I guess watercooled could solve that issue.

I'll wait to see actual pics of it, not just renders. The price is hefty though

This is a nod to the hardcore modders how there who have been doing Hard drive/DVD drive windows for a few years now.

As for pricing, it's about 50$ more than the non window version that was also announced at the same time (which noone even TALKS about).
