DCUO finally switched to a f2p format, I beta'd the game and had a bit of fun during the beta, though IMO f2p generally has many downsides to a game once it's transitioned, but I have yet to play f2p version yet so....

Of course, I would have used FTP but obviously that's 'file transfer protocol'. :P
F2P is the most common abbreviation for free2play/free-to-play.

As a note, there is an in-game store that uses station cash, not much of anything in the store though, mostly costume stuff, which IMO is a good thing. Setup so people aren't using the store store to surpass other players.

You can use steam to dl/play also. Just search the steam store for "DC Universe" and it will come up as free to install/play.

I've been playing the PC and PS3 versions of this game and have been pleasently surprised. Then again standards are lower when i'm not paying anything. I'm also beta'in War of the Immortals also F2P once released.
