DAoC - Back when it was good

Re: DAoC - Back when it was good
Right now myself, Sage and my buddy Deehorsey are in the guild Anarki. I figure there is no sense putting any effort into reforming HF until we're sure we at least have a solid base group that plays regularly, and there is no loss of benefit from RPs until we get in our 30s anyway. We'll see how things go and break off if the need arises. Meanwhile, these cats said I could invite any RL friends I wanted to the guild, some Marine runs it and its our crew and his family primarily. I might get on tonight, but it will be after 9 cst.

Sounds good to me. LVL 3 atm, and my only quest wont finish, its bugged.
Re: DAoC - Back when it was good
Expect some buggy quests, but there is one very important thing to remember. The Epic quests are not fully implemented on this server, so every 5th level its important to train in Jordheim and your trainer will award you with armor pieces for the epic quest line. Its basically a free high end BP every 5 levels, worth the run.

Re: DAoC - Back when it was good
Well we all got some levels. It was good to get back into gaming, with one caveat. We're adults, acting like 2 year olds, especially in the guild chat of the family guild that took us under their wing and has basically offered us free powerleveling, isn't cool. Regardless of whether or not it is the case, lets at least try to act mature in front of the other people on the server. If there is any chance we form HF and make something of ourselves on Uthgard, I don't want it to be the reputation of a bunch of 12 year olds making gay jokes.

Both of you need to lighten up. There wasnt ANYTHING said to warrant that kind of post Nad. You goin PC on us or what? Cant take a lil humor? The rest of 'em seemed to think things were fine, laughing even. Seriously, if you cant handle jokin' around like that... I dunno what.

I didnt train with the trainer in Jord whenI hit lvl 5. Did I just miss out on something? And what does BP stand for again? I forget.

Breastplate.
And K2, i could care less about joking, hell I don't think i was ever a target of them, I just think that kinda crap should remain in group/tells and not guild chat with a bunch of strangers. I guess I should have been more clear, I don't want the people on the server that I don't know associating me with that kind of stuff.

Btw, I don't look at this the same way as you guys I guess....I liked DAoC in the end, it was fun. And having the extras towards like healing and buffing etc. The stat cap stuff etc, all was nice.

Re: DAoC - Back when it was good
lol I'm not hard to find, just gotta know me..
I've made 2 chars so far, not really sure which of or if either of them will be what I stick with, kind of mucking around until I find a groove.
Edit: You gotta remember that I played many characters over the period of time I played DAoC, my last character was a sick runemaster lol.

Seems to work just fine.
Sage if for whatever reason this server cant handle a full load or you have to take it down, I found a vent hosting company on the east coast that will rent one out for $5/mo for 24 slots. For a year it'd be 60 bucks - too easy.
