Re: Water temps rising in GOM
lols, that's not really that extreme, not even very far off from "normal" temperatures.
Welcome to a planet that has been warming for so many thousands of years. This is what happens when you're coming out of an ice age, which yes we are still, and have been for ~20,000 years. Our planet is believed to have had 4 or 5 major ice ages, even as far as being completely tropical (even at the highest altitudes).

Let's also reflect on the newest researching of the planets magnetic field. Which scientists have been saying has been weakening significantly in recent years, and now believe to be a "natural" cycle. "Provable" by measuring specifics in cores taken from places such as the south pole, and throughout the ocean. With a weakening magnetic field, our planet is more exposed to the solar radiation, that logically correlates to higher temperatures.

Edit: To actually reference your video directly: That really doesn't make sense, where did this hot water supposedly come from? Generally, IMO (obviously I am no expert in the field), everything around that spot is heating/cooling in a pattern. Really looks more like a glitch in the system, than the water temps actually being that high. Especially considering it is a momentary thing, not really arriving/dispersing as it should.
