CPL shuts down permanently

Postby K2 » Mar 14th, 2008 at 8:05 am

Damn, check this shit out - http://www.thecpl.com/?p=1920

I knew that having the HF servers go down again would be a blow to all gamers on a global scale, but I didn't think the CPL would take such drastic measures...

ESPN will pick up where they left off. Need some korean SC channels. Those matches are pretty fun to watch.

I didn't think there was anything more boring then to watch others play a game on TV. And the few I did watch I got annoyed at the announcers for unneeded talk.

Yep, the ones I like watching are best without any announcers.

i know i'm a few days late on the topic but i was wondering what this will do on a wider scale.. was cpl tied to CAL? CAL on the way out too if its not already? yeah i know "learn to google" but i have not gotten to that part yet. i wanted to get into CPL cuz my dad went to some quake matches back in the day and passed on the learning to me.. so where do you go now for the "pro" level of gaming? just wait for ESPN? hmm..
