The history of 'Proval'

HF's first day of existence was Oct 22nd, 2000 (7 yr anniversary is right around the corner!). My first msgboard was UBB 5.0 - primitive, but it got the job done. When I switched to the msgboard we use now back in sept of '02, there wasn't a converter to import the posts from ubb 5.x to phpBB 2.x. There is NOW, but at the time there wasn't... makes me wish I had saved it all, there were a shitload of posts.

If ya search the archives, I started hosting cs 1.0 back on Dec. 9th, 2000.

BfB's old forum skeleton is up on the internet archives, so Hardfought's might be too... no posts though, unfortunately.

I remember "Proval" being spammed by the server at random intervals. Some type of message or mod that wasnt functioning properly.

I'd be in the middle of winning a 1v6 and "Proval" would flash on the screen. It helped.

To pay tribute I named my WoW toon Proval.
