I still like my picks: England France and Portugal are my "want to wins" but Germany Netherlands and Brazil are my picks to finish. So far i feel as though france is the one team on the list that should have done better in its group. England and portugal weren't so hot but found themselves in relatively easy groups. I didn't pick argentina cause as much as I like them i haven't seen them wow me lately, but i should have known they'd contend. Also I'm enjoying Spains results. Another team i saw only doing averagely well (after a total humiliation in the euro... I heard they got paid and decided to use the tourney as paid time off) but should have been scoring goals!

And the aussies in the finals? Would remind me too much of the greeks getting lucky (or was it cheating?) all the way through the euro. I just can't see them defeating some of the big guys of this years cup.

Yeah that's one of the dirtiest games i had seen in a while. Those guys were literally going down like it was a contest to see what team could fuck with the ref most. I'd say after drama there was about 20 minutes of real football. But that guy handed em out like candy, for sure.

England definately didn't perform well but after reading some articles i think the team actually KNOWS they're sucking even though they've gotten through this far. I'd like to see them perform well next match. It's such a shame to see such a golden roster go down the drain. Most players dream to play for a team like that, and these guys have no right to squander it.

But despite a sub-par england. They did play in heat that they are NOT used to (see beckham) and still came out on top. Ecuador was totally comfortable in the weather. Not to mention... compare the free kicks portugal took and the one beckham scored... might not do much but he can sure bend that ball! Everyone else i see tries to bend it from the air down to the top corners, he just goes up and back down to the BOTTOM corners... fucking nuts dude. for me man of match would have to be cole with the save or rooney for the effort tho

Dude to make the ball dive the way beckham does is really fuckin tough. I've tryed that shit, and i got it to dive just a little even though i put as much speen on it as i could, and i have pretty strong thighs O.o. Him and Roberto Carlos are two sick mofos at taking free kicks.

I thought this was a no Netherlander forum! So much for our "Master Race" of Whites, blacks, Indians, Cubans, and Keysers.

Its not ignorance. Holland became synonymous with Netherlands long time ago. Deal with it. I'm not saying you're wrong. I just made a crack at you being so politically correct about something that has become so widely accepted and pretty much harmless.
