QFT. Thats why I waved the Jap goal off. I did not have a single doubt that brazil was gona win. I dont think they even changed their play after that goal. They just continued what they were doing. Amazing passes etc etc.

ya , the first goal didn't worry me either , it was still nice though and surprising but no doubt it would finish with a Brazilian victory.

dude i forgot who made that strike in first half, maybe Caca but dude , i'm suprised the goalie's fingers were still attached to his hand after that shot ...

For all you girls who wine about refs

Postby Best_predator » Jun 22nd, 2006 at 8:04 pm

FIFAworldcup.com: What has been your verdict on the FIFA World Cup up to this point? Have you been pleased with the standard of the matches?
Pele: I’m enjoying it very much. Firstly because the discipline and the consistency of the referees has been very good and they are clamping down on foul play. Of course, they will always make some mistakes, but discipline in the matches has been perfect. Secondly, because before the tournament many people said that this would be a World Cup without many goals, with very defensive teams, and yet the average number of goals per game has been excellent. I think this has been a better start to the tournament than in 2002.

I also would like people, who watched Brazil-Japan game, notice how many fould there were. Even though ref let few questionable fouls go there weren't anything to call. Unlike Italy-US.

I think Mexico can win if they get the early lead. Their offense has been pretty stagnant to comeback imo.

Germany looks so powerful throughout the tourney.

Big deal. It's more goals for Ronaldo. You should be happy. :P

Meh, its not like Robinho scores a lot. He adds a lot of speed to the game though. And I much rather have Ronaldo-Robinho instead of Ronaldo-Adriano or Robinho-Adriano.

robinho is a gifted passer and ballhandler. he makes defenders miss. robinho/ronaldo/ronaldinho are almost unstoppable. losing robinho isn't a *great* loss, but i think he's part of the reason brazil did so well in game 3 (he didn't start in the first two games).

Nah, i disagree. He added speed to the game, no doubt, but you could see that the players were loose this time unlike first 2 games. Ronaldinho was handling the ball and finding people A LOT better. And just everyone in general weren't afraid to play beautiful unlike in first 2 games. On top of that, Japan HAD to win to advance which eased up the offense for Brazilian forwards. Robinho was defently a factor but i don't think he tops the reasons above.

As much as i hate to say it, the coolest goal was the first goal of the tournament :P.
Well, in any case for me personally Argentina-Germany works better anyway. I want Germany to lose and I believe Argentina would do a better job of it.

Heh I could tell you were a Germany hater. I'm thinking a rematch Final is in the making of Germany v. Brazil.

I'd love to see the Aussies get to the final as an upset special though.
