So he could tell that his mail had been opened? I would have expected the NSA to spend 50 billion on a system that allowed them to read mail from orbit without leaving a trace.

Cliff Clavin had a method of reading the mail that left no trace, it was called the 100watt lightbulb.

privacy is over rated. If privacy was so great, then flashing wouldn't exist. Flashing at home is not as fun as flashing in public

I do not want to hear you and EML have a debate of at home flashing vs public flashing.

It's not like they are going to open johnny american's letters, it's just letters from overseas from someone named al akbar hussidy al akbar

as soon as you say you are willing to give up some privacy rights in order to catch 1 terrorist, you have just given the government permission to go one step further. Whatever decent, law-abiding citizens will tolerate, you can count on them to go slightly farther. Safety at the cost of freedom is not worth it. Boba, will you submit yourself willingly to weekly drug tests, because it is important that we stop illegal drugs, terrorists make $$ from drugs to pay for acts of terrorism. I don't do drugs or even drink anymore, so I have nothing to hide, I think weekly drug tests for all mericans is a great idea.

What is that? You have a problem with privacy violations now? thought so...

[quote="EatMoreLead" terrorists make $$ from drugs to pay for acts of terrorism. [/quote]

And that is why we need to legalize and regulate the recreational drug use market.

Among many more much more logical reasons........
