Horns National Champs!!

Postby Sackster » Jan 5th, 2006 at 1:02 am

I'm a LSU fan first. But I love when a Texas team can beat "the team of the decade." The commentary during the game was so pro USC it made me sick. I'm glad Texas won. Congrats Horns fans on a HUGH victory!

hrrrrmmpfff!! a Canadian trying to talk football? Reminds me of the Germans that were trying to explain to me that the European League Football was stronger than the NFL. WHAT!!!! American rules football is STILL the hardest hitting sport known to the world + it has the best athletes. Why do you think so many youngsters would give their left nut to play college football, much less in the NFL?

Tom Brady was drafted by the expos farm system for baseball....what is he doing nowadays? Most athletes who are good at baseball and football end up choosing football not baseball. Players are drafted right out of college, and begin making the big bux right away, as opposed to in baseball where is can take years of playing on hopes and dreams to even get your shot in the majors. there's also more glory in football , because baseball is no longer america's pastime, if you still believe this then you need to open your eyes. Nothing captures the hearts and minds of fans like football does. Don't get me wrong, i love baseball, and i love my red sox, but a lot more people can sit and watch a football game then can sit down and watch a baseball game.

yeah derf, worried they got abduced to somewhere other than USA where football and baseball and hockey are better than any other nation in the world.

Your canuks sucked last night BTW - fun to watch Stars come back from 0-1 to 3-1 in a matter of 12 minutes. That goalie just fell apart, I think he was crying when they pulled him at 2min.

Dammit, if I only hadn't ruled bowling as a non-sport in another thread!

Isn't watching movies considered a sport?

Naw, you don't go up to the concession stand and get a glass of beer, they bring a Friggin Pitcher of beer to your seat.

Canadians also only have 5 pins in their bowling. And canadians have much smaller balls than us.

Actually, we have both 5 and 10 pin bowling. I personally hate 5-pin bowling, if I have to bowl at all.

Notice he didnt say a word about his ball size :P

I bet the chicks are lining up for a shot at this guy.

Sorry I can't be a fan of a sport that is bascially the same as the game old people play on cruise ships. Oops I Crapped My Pants!

Since we're back on boba's comment...
Every athlete who has a choice choses baseball because you can make more money (no salary cap and gauranteed contracts) and you are less injury prone. People like Drew Henson and Tom Brady couldnt hack it in basball so they chose football as their 2nd choice. As they say the hardest thing to do in sports is hitting a baseball.

No the hardest thing in sports is getting the MLB to take a hard stance on rampant steroid use.
