Good driving music

Postby Nad » Jun 23rd, 2005 at 9:53 pm

Well guys, the lan is a week away and i just realized i only had a couple hours of good driving music. That isnt going to work since the LAN is about 7.5 hours each way for me. So, gimme some suggestions on good driving music. I'm not intirested in individual songs since it would take me forever to compile enough of them. What im looking for is entire albums that are good to listen to all the way thru. Lemme hear some opinions.

Already on the list are:

Clutch - Robot Hive / Exodus
Ra - From One
CKY - Infiltrate. Destroy. Rebuild.
Shinedown - Leave A Whisper

Added:

Live - Secret Samadhi
Hardfought Forum/Game Server Admin and all around board troll

Depends on how you plan on driving.

I prefer "classic" rock for casual trips, Eagles are a must.

now if I plan on speeding, Joe Satriani is always fun :)

Agreed. Driving while listening to classical makes the cars on the road look like some sort of surreal dance. Brahms S.#4 FTW.

Yeah XM/Sirius is the shit. XM Comedy 150 (which is pretty much identical to Timmy's Raw Dog) has kept me awake for many a long trip.

NPR.

Personally, I love all sorts of music, particularly rap and classic rock, but usually when I'm taking long car trips, my g/f is in the car. About the only thing we can agree upon in the long run is NPR. Goddamn I love Car Talk.

Cracker Barrel also has some of the really really old radio programs like Abbett and Costello, Dragnet, The Shadow etc.. Pretty good listening.

NPR.

My ex hated it when I put NPR on in the car. It wasn't that she had any kind of beliefs that were offended. She was such a dumb bitch that she fealt ignorant listening to intelligent people discuss current events.

dumb bitch...
