Re: WoW or WAR?

WoW is very polished and it's hard not to enjoy it. If you stay away from the forums, you'll be fine. All games have asshats, so that's what the ignore list is for. The Dungeon Finder makes getting a group together easy and you can do some quests while you wait for the queue to pop. If you make a ta...

Re: Starcraft 2

My wife went to UCSD with a guy in QA for Blizzard. He did scripting for code checking for it. Everyone who worked on it got free CE copies and he grabbed an extra one for me. So free CE last week was completely unexpected. Still couldn't install or register for single player campaign til 9pm PST li...

Re: So what did ya think of the finale of LOST?

I guess mine is all spoiler. I don't think they died on the plane crash. I think all of that happening was real, if unbelievable. The ending was just all of them in a non-temporal setting that they "created" so that they could all "move on" together. Jack died at the end of t...

Re: What are you watching on TV

I saw them in '04 at Clutch Cargo's. It's an old church so the atmosphere was great to begin with, but it was the best two hours of a show I have ever been too...and I've seen a lot. I think Matt's getting a little too focused on conspiracy subject matter, but they are amazing live. Go see them peri...

Re: Age of Conan Beta - Fileplanet Subscriber/Founder's Club

I've actually resubbed and with an actually decent computer, I've been having a blast. The graphics are fantastic on high settings and the xpac will introduce an AA system that some good info has been coming out (without breaking NDA). I like that the level cap won't go up so gear won't be immediate...

Re: IRS blowed up

Why do I need to apologize for having an opinion? Who cares if it's insensitive. How many HF threads have been full of insensitive language. When has that stopped anyone here? Let's be sure not to offend anyone /sarcasm. And I wasn't shifting blame to the troops with my comment. I was trying to rebu...

Re: IRS blowed up

You know, lots of innocent people get blown up all the time in a sandier part of the world. Is the motive behind their deaths any less valid because of collateral damage?

Re: Fuck the Colts

I'm not against the Saints...and I'll certainly root for them against the Dolts...my qualm is how that in history, Brett Favre will be denied his second ring by a very antiquated rule. I'm happy for Saints fans...but I'm even happier for those who want a rule change....it's like a BCS blowup....need...

Fuck the Colts

Fuck the Colts! I just have to say. Sanchez will be far greater than Manning evah!!!

And who else is pissed off that the NFL still has not changed the overtime rule? Honestly...Brett Favre doesn't touch the ball in the OT loss....honestly. This just has too change.

Re: Zombieland

I thought it was pretty good. It wasn't a great film, but definitely worth the money for a fun and entertaining evening. My wife hates zombie movies and she spent the first 15 minutes wanting to leave the theater, but then the zombie stuff took a back seat and she was fine after that. Which makes t...

I was playing nothing except Wii Fit until about a week ago when I convinced my wife that WoW could be fun for the two of us to play. She's not a gamer at all...but it could still be fun. I've been playing my UD priest on Dunemaul checking out Northrend, but I think we're rolling Ally on Skywall (My...

Well, GM is all but toast. CEO already said restructuring isn't going to help them. So they are heading straight for liquidation unless they are bailed out. But you can't give them enough money to keep them viable so any cash infusion will just be followed by coming back for more in a month or 2...s...

Of course you have to realize Jay, that you aren't even safe holding dollars. The dollar is toast any number of ways you look at it. Cash will be king for the short term, but the US is either going to openly default on debt killing the dollar in the process or they are going to need to devalue the d...

Also, AIG is asking for more this weekend. They are desperate. Analysts expect a $0.90/share loss to be reported. Since they seem desperate to get more than the $120 billion they've already blown through, I suspect their earnings report is going to be much more somber. Let's see if there's a bullet ...

What do you mean they can't force them? They just told the 9 CEOs that they couldn't leave until they signed the document allowing the government to take equity in this infusion. And it's implied that they lend it. Do you think that they are going to let reports that the banks are sitting on the mon...

Forced nationalization of banks. Even Citi and B of A were teetering on the brink. Any more mark down on assets for B of A and they would have been officially insolvent and looking to file. So part of this agreement is to force banks to lend to the public...to a public that is way out of lending gui...

It's a bit egotistical to assume the collapse of our economic system and currency is the end of days. It wasn't the end of days in 1929. Of course...we actually had capital infrastructure back then and a gold standard. They're talking stimulus part 2? Who is paying for this? This worldwide capital i...

M3 is off the charts which is why it isn't even published anymore. But that doesn't matter considering the money and credit supply have been further inflated by leveraged lending. The Fed won't let these banks de-leverage properly and deflate assets to their true value...they're just going to inject...
