Match news

By K2 on November 15th, 2000 at 10:34 am EST

Got a couple matches coming up for Nexus… our first official matches as a team. Here’s what we got goin’ this week…

This coming Thursday, Nov. 16th at 9pm EST, we play Canadian Carnage for their #4 spot on the OGL CCTF open ladder.

The following Saturday, Nov. 18th at 9pm EST, we play Newfoundland Quakers for their #68 spot on the OGL RA3 open team ladder.

Neither clan has a website that I can find, so no links :-/ We’ll have stats and screenshots of the matches available as they happen, so check back soon if you’re interested in that kinda thing :-P

I plan on starting work on the roster this week sometime, I’ve gathered enough information to start finally… heh. The webserver will be down for just a little bit tonight as well as I add an extra 128MB RAM to the system (256MB total)… shouldn’t be down for more than a couple minutes tops. Oh yeah… got a nice surprise in store for everyone tomorrow. Don’t wanna let the proverbial cat outta the bag just yet… I’ll spring it along with our match results from our upcoming CCTF match later tomorrow. Catch ya later…

Scrim with Canadian Carnage, new links

By K2 on November 13th, 2000 at 12:03 am EST

We had our first Classic CTF scrim as a team last Saturday night against Canadian Carnage… nice bunch of guys. They don’t appear to have a website or I would have provided a link… anyways, it took just a bit of time to find a server and things started off smoothly. Unfortunately one of the Canadian Carnage guys overflowed in the middle of the game, but he was able to log back in and finish after being gone for only about a minute or so (we waited until he came back) … CCTF needs a matchpause command like q3comp… Nexus was represented in this scrim by b0ba, misery, HaDeS and FizZ, winning by a score of 19-0. Good goin’ guys and gals :-) You can view stats of the game and a screenshot by following the Battles link to the left… we’re gonna try and keep a complete record of every scrim and match we play.

Another new link is our Roster section… it’s still under development. Still waiting on some replies to that e-mail I sent out earlier today :-P Ah well… time for bed. See ya online!

Welcome to The Nexus

By K2 on November 11th, 2000 at 5:09 pm EST

Hello there… again :-) The Hardfought Quake3 server has been brought down temporarily. In its place, the website has been brought over to support the new clan I am with, known as Nexus… a team comprised of some very fine Quake3 players and all-around good people… tons o’ fun to play with, which is what we’re primarily about. You may remember most of our team from a past clan association… let’s just say we didn’t care too much for the ‘management’ from that clan ;-) So here we are to start anew, keeping things the way they should have been from the start.

Anyways… this is just a short ‘hi there’ msg for everyone. Stay tuned, I’ll be making more news posts and links as time goes on. I’ll be putting up roster info, matches played, etc. See ya soon…
